Welcome to ENL Henninger High School 2015-2016

Ms. Wylie     Room 130

1. Respect one another

2. Come to class prepared and ready to learn.

3. Be seated, quiet, and ready to begin when you enter.

4. Do NOT interrupt anyone who is speaking. Raise your hand during class discussions.

5. NO cell phones, hats/hoods, food, drinks etc.

6. NO passes will be given the first or last ten minutes of class. Please use the bathroom in the 4 minutes between classes.

Materials:

· You must have with you every day:

1. Pen

2. AVID Binder

3. Loose leaf paper

DIN (Do IT Now: once you enter the room):

· Should be completed the first five minutes of class.

· DIN will be collected and graded for completeness.

Homework:

· All homework assignments count towards your grade!

· Homework will be collected at the beginning of class.

 o 1 day late = -5 points

 o 2 days late = -10 points

 o 3 days late = 0 points earned (unless you stay after school to complete the assignment)

Grades:

 · Participation 35%

Ø Includes homework, attendance, and discussion in class

·  Classwork 30%

Ø In class quizzes, DIN, packets, and questions

·  Assessments 20%

Ø Quizzes, tests, rubrics

· Project 10%

·        Presentation 5%

Absences:

· If absent, it is YOUR responsibility to make up the work!

· Check REMIND or ask me

Extra Help:

· I am available for extra help during contact hours in room 130.
